  Pretty disappointed. Was excited to eat sushi in Thirroul. Ordered futomaki and sushi and sashimi set. The sashimi was sat on what looked liked glass noodles but felt more like glue and was inedible. There was no ginger included. The rice was hard and the nori was hard to bite through. The rolls were all very loose and fell apart. The chicken in the futomaki was also cold and dry. I expected more for the price. The care usually shown with Japanese cuisine was not shown here. It's a shame. I know that it's the first sushi restaurant in Thirroul and still only new so I hope that it will improve in the coming months.

  As we live around the corner we have been going to dinner each week at Toro. First night was difficult for them as they didn't think they'd be that busy and also had heaps of take aways! The food is good quality, Sashimi is fresh and you can BYO. Doesn't have a lot of tables so it's better to book and if you only have small party you may have to share tables with someone else as the tables they have are too big. The owner used to manage Moon Sushi in Woonona but now he has opened his own place the quality is much much better (I personally think Moon's has bad quality, at least the last few years).
